All our furniture is painted with a highly durable polyurethane paint. A hardener is added to provide a finish that is compatible for use in bathrooms and cloakrooms.
For regular cleaning we recommend wiping the surfaces with a damp cloth and removing any marks with soapy water. On no account should any abrasive bathroom cleaners or bleach be used as this may damage the finish.
Our furniture is made from solid oak and plywood. As it is a natural material you may experience some minor cracking over time which is quite normal due to the movement of the timber. This is the result of the wood stabilising in your own bathroom or cloakroom environment.
The stone countertops and splashbacks should be sealed with the Lithofin MN stainstop provided. Lithofin Easy Care is recommended for regular cleaning and any excess water, liquid soap, toothpaste marks etc. should be wiped away after use. Household cleaners or detergents should not be used as they can cause irreparable damage and premature breakdown of the sealer.
After approximately 2 years re-sealing will be required to prevent marking and water penetration. When the sealer reaches the end of its life the stone should be thoroughly cleaned with Lithofin Wexa to remove any traces of the existing sealer prior to re-applying Lithofin MN stainstop.
